FONT FRIDAY: MOZART

You. Guys. It's September? I mean, that's not really a question. It IS September. But, like, how did that happen? Excuse me for a moment while I figure out whether I'm happy that it's Friday, or devastated that the summer is over.

In the meantime, let's perk ourselves up the fool-proof way; with a beautiful, classic script. It always works, doesn't it?

I really love Mozart script, don't you? I'm a sucker for all traditional fonts with gorgeous flourishing, and Mozart does not disappoint. In fact, Mozart even goes one step farther by giving us beautiful little details at the end points of the swashes. It almost feels like the lines are dancing, no? Ah, leave it to a font named Mozart to be somewhat musical!

Oh man, I am DYING to use Mozart! I picked up this pretty diddy for $20 last week, and I think you should go grab it, too!

Alright, well, now I'm feeling better about the whole September thing. Hope you are, too!

HEIRLOOM HIGHLIGHT: SHE GOT SCOOPED UP BRIDAL SHOWER INVITATIONS FEATURED ON RUFFLED

Years ago, right around when Leah and I first met, we had casually chatted about how much we both wanted to bring an ice-cream inspired shoot to life. Me, mainly because I love ice-cream. Leah, mainly because she's a creative genius and can add a fresh, new twist to pretty much ANYTHING.

So early last year, when Leah had the opportunity to finally create ice-cream magic, it was a no-brainer for me to be on board. It helped that she had literally pulled together THE DREAM TEAM (including Erin Braun for design + florals, Jainé of Brklyn View Photography to capture, and some seriously awesome models, including Eileen and Kate).

The inspiration came from Pantone's color(s) of the year (this was shot and published in 2016) of rose quartz and serenity (a soft blue). So many creatives gave Pantone flack because the colors felt so "baby boy" and "baby girl", but leave it to Leah to use the softest shades of pinks and blues to create a romantic, fresh bridal shower inspired by all things ice-cream.

I created invitations that played with the shape of ice-cream (literally) along with hints of watercolor and the sweetest little waffle cone inspired envelope liners and place cards. Oh, and take a moment to appreciate the fact that the place cards are displayed in lucite dishes filled with spinkles. Yes. I said that. It's amazing.

This shoot was featured on Ruffled, and you should head on over to see each and every incredible detail!

Here are the professionals that brought this inspiration to life: Photography: Brklyn View Photography, Brklyn View Photography, Floral Designer: Erin Braun Design, Venue and Signature Cocktail FCI Catering & Events, Bride's Jewelry Susie Saltzman Custom Fine Jewelry, Hair Beauty-Tini by Michelle DeMartino, Makeup The Luminous Bride - Makeup by Jules Waldkoetter, Hair and Makeup CKelly Hair and Makeup, Rentals Something Different Party Rentals, Linens Nuage Designs, Paper Goods Sincerely, Jackie

FONT FRIDAY: ADORABLE SCRIPT

Happy Friday, loves! Yesterday was the big Sincerely, Jackie brand refresh photoshoot here in the studio, and man, I'm equal parts excited and exhausted. Excited to see the photos, and exhausted because man, what a busy week it's been!

Let's keep the momentum going and end on a high note with this font, aptly named Adorable Script. You all know how much I love me some modern calligraphy, and this font reminds me so much of the real deal, it's kind of hard to pass up.

For $16, you just two weights of Adorable, which is a really nice bonus. Adorable Line is the thinner weight, while Adorable Pressure gives a little more heft and weight. I love, love, love the Adorable Pressure weight!

Which do you prefer? Tell me!

HEIRLOOM HIGHLIGHT: FOR THE LOVE OF COPPER INSPIRED PHOTO SHOOT IN NEW JERSEY

Whoa, friends, it seems like August is my month to catch up on sharing some of the incredible, incredible styled shoots I've had the honor of participating in over the past few years. I know, I hang my head low as I say "few years", but at least I'm sharing and not keeping this beautifulness locked away on my computer.

To be honest, I'm stoked to have so many features to share! I'm working hard here behind the scenes on a Sincerely, Jackie brand refresh, which involves finally shooting all of my new designs from 2016 and 2017 (yes, I am seriously behind). It's kind of awesome to have fun features to share while I gather new content. I can admit that, right? Good, because I did.

Anyway, this shoot was dubbed "For The Love of Copper" and I think that name nails it. It combines all things beautiful, modern, and COPPER! I loved creating these never-before-seen Sincerely, Jackie invitations, and again, had so much fun playing with styles a little different from what I normally do. The invitations I created for this shoot combined watercolor, modern style calligraphy, and hand painted copper envelope liners. I don't get to be so hands-on all the time, and I LOVED doing it for this shoot! Brandi, of Alexis June Weddings, took the most gorgeous photos, and Kaitlin Agulto couldn't have pulled together a more gorgeous shoot. Just take a look!

This shoot took place at the Waterside Restaurant in North Bergen, New Jersey. With a stunning view on New York City in the background, it's such a lovely venue for city lovers and view seekers alike. I loved the soft blues, copper, and touches of earthy greens - so fresh and romantic.

The icing on the beautiful copper cake? This shoot was featured not once, but twice! First featured on Burnetts Boards, and then on Ruffled. Hooray!

The team of talented professionals who pulled this shoot off includes:
Photography: Alexis June Weddings // Coordination & Design: Kaitlin Agulto Weddings LLC // Videography: NST Pictures // Furniture: Octavia & Brown // Florist: L’Oasis // Dress: Angelique Bridal // Suit: Nauman Piyarji // Jewelry: Catherine Angiel // Paper Goods: Sincerely Jackie // Cake: Ashley Bake Me a Cake // Ring Bowl: Down the Road with Me // FilmLab: PhotoVision Prints // Hair: Erin Taylor // Makeup: New York Artistry // Models: Kierstyn Webb & Phillip Rutkiewicz // Venue: Waterside Restaurant and Catering

FONT FRIDAY: MONOGRAM CHIC FONT

Custom monograms are about as iconic as it gets for wedding invitations. Add in a little engraving, and you'll have every southern paper-loving-grandmother swooning. My style for monograms tends to be a little more modern, a la a clean calligraphy monogram (I mean, hello Port!), but that doesn't mean I haven't had the occasional bride looking for a more traditional style monogram.

Most custom monograms are actually semi-custom, meaning that we, designers, buy volumes of pre-made monograms, or monogram fonts, that we then customize to fit our clients needs. Some of the monograms are extremely pricey - I mean, hey, it's HARD to make two letters work together perfectly! However, I recently came across Monogram Chic on Creative Market and stopped dead in my scrolling.

At just $49, Monogram Chic is a MUST HAVE if you're a designer offering monograms. It's such a good price, for such gorgeous monograms, that it is actually making me want to offer an entire line of just monogram invitations. I know, kind of crazy, but also kind of not. Who wants to see a collection just with these monograms?! You can grab Monogram Chic from Creative Market, or directly from Shuler Studio (the designer) for the same price. Go, run, grab it!

HEIRLOOM HIGHLIGHT: FLOUNCE FEATURED IN INSPIRED BY THIS FOR A FLORIDA TROPICAL WEDDING SHOOT

Sitting down to write this post sent actual chills running down my spine. I worked on this shoot in early 2016, and it was featured in Inspired By This on May 25, 2016. That day, and many of the days surrounding it, will always be etched in my memory. On May 25, 2016, my pregnancy became toxic, I started going into organ failure, and it was the very last night before my son, Richard was born.

To be honest, I don't really remember Cathy, of Cathy Durig Photography, reaching out with the good news that this shoot was featured. I was in the hospital, not checking emails, and by the time I was home and attempting to sort through work, the feature email slipped past me. Months later, when my life finally began resembling "normal" again, I went through the months of features that I was beyond behind in, and found the photos from this very shoot. My jaw dropped. It was so, so beautiful, and I got misty-eyed knowing there was such a beautiful feature that happened, that I was a part of, during one of the hardest times of my life.

Since the shoot, Cathy and I have followed along with each other as we've both become boy-moms, and she always reminds me of the beauty that exists in this journey. Thank you, Cathy, for having me be a part of this shoot!

For this shoot, Charmaine and I worked together to create the Flounce design. Flounce is a twist on the classic Flourish, but with an element of fun, and done in gold. What's better than a fun take on a classic? And, of course, gold calligraphy makes everything better. I love, love, love the way Cathy pulled together the mint, aqua, and orange colors for a fun, tropical wedding design. And that gold sequined bridesmaid dress? It's a favorite, for sure!

The wedding shoot took place at The Vinoy in St. Petersberg, Florida. Does it not make you want to pack your bags right this very moment and hop on a plane?

Head on over to Inspired By This to see the full feature, and give some love to the talented team who pulled it together:
