Back in Action | Sincerely, Jackie New York Letterpress Wedding Invitations

I've always found that one of the hardest things for me is getting back into action after a hiatus. What it is about stopping the momentum that makes it so hard to pick back up again? As daunting as it is, I think the best way to get the ball moving is to jump right back in as if nothing was disrupted.

If you've been following me on Instagram, you may already know why I've been missing in action. For those of you who don't follow me (which you should, by the way), I slipped on ice almost 2 weeks and hurt my back badly enough that I could not move for more than a week. I fell backwards while walking over a speed bump, and my back curved over the bump as I landed. The result was similar to whiplash, where my entire upper back, shoulders, and neck muscles completely seized up and rendered me immobile. I thought for sure the pain and immobility would wane after a few days, but that simply didn't happen. So, for the past 12 days, I have been in bed with muscle relaxers and heating pads.

Dispite being immobile, a lot has happened. Why does everything always seem to happen during the moments where you can really give them the energy they deserve? Murphy's Law, I suppose.

I'm finally feeling significantly better and am very much looking forward to blogging and sharing here on the blog again. I have some very exciting personal and professional news that I cannot wait to finally share!

The past few weeks may have slowed me down a touch, but I'm so thankful for my amazing clients and friends who were beyond understanding and supportive. Luckily all of my projects are still on schedule (hooray!) and my back is on the mend (just in time for another winter storm).

I hope you've all been safe during this particularly brutal winter. Can I get a hip-hip-hooray for Spring being around the corner?

Sincerely,
