Heirloom Highlight: Cruise Letterpress Wedding Invitations
Can I tell you a little secret? I absolutely love fresh, fun wedding invitation designs. This might sound crazy, but there does not need to be gold, pink, and script for a design to be chic and classic.
I really love allowing typefaces to take center stage in wedding invitations, and using a mix of classic serif with ultra-clean sans-serif fonts makes the Cruise invitation a delight to look at. While Cruise can be printed in any print method, and in any combination of colors, the design really sings in classic black letterpress on bright white cotton paper. Don't you think? Adding trio of borders around the invitation highlights the typography while adding a sense of formality to the invitation.
Most of the time, brides come to Sincerely, Jackie for my modern spin on traditional design elements. I could easily design using scripts, monograms, vintage inspired borders, and delicate lace patterns all day long. However, the truth is that my heart burns just as brightly (maybe even, dare I say it, brighter!) when I have a bride looking to merge styles and vary from what may be deemed traditional. I designed Cruise with all of my modern, city-chic brides in mind, and while Cruise airs on the side of non-traditional, it still maintains and effortlessly formal aura.
Cruise, as shown, is letterpress printed with rich black ink on house-select 110lb Crane's Lettra bright white cotton paper. The text, border trio, and line details allow for a wonderfully deep letterpress impression. Swoon! I personally love Cruise in a single-color letterpress, but I get so much joy from working with my clients to add their own personality to the design. Cruise, like all Sincerely, Jackie invitations, is available in any ink color, as well as any print method; including foil, engraving, digital printing, or combinations of colors and print methods. If you'd really like soak up the Cruise invitation, I have samples available for purchase, with free shipping, from the shop here.
