Font Friday - Novecento

Happy Friday, friends! I imagine you're all recovering from Halloween candy overload and in need of something to distract you from that bag of candy that you've carefully hidden out of sight. Look no farther, I've got the perfect thing to distract you - a clean, modern, versatile font!

A few weeks ago I shared a splurge font, Brandon Grotesque, which is a gorgeous traditional sans serif font that I will someday own. I realize that a lot of people don't want to, or can't afford to, invest in expensive fonts, so today I bring you Novecento, which is my favorite sans serif on a budget. Novecento is also my go-to alternative to Brandon Grotesque when I am looking for an all-caps font.

Bonus, the Novecento Wide family is free! That's right friends, a versatile, classic sans serif font that is free.

I love mixing modern sans serif fonts with traditional scripts for a twist on a classic wedding invitation, and I love all of the different weights and options that come with Novecento. You can purchase each font separately, or purchase the whole family for $260. I know that seems like a lot, but I personally find that the free wide family is all I need.

Here's a quick design I put together just using the wide family, in various weights:

Novecento is a great font to have in your library, one that I lean on very often, and that has gotten me through many different styles of design. Do you have a favorite go-to sans serif that won't break the bank? I would love to hear about it!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Sincerely,
